Hosted by Leonie Smith “The Cyber Safety Lady” “Digital Families in The Age Of Corona Virus” Webinar is a cyber safety webinar prompted by the issues that are being discussed around many chat apps and online games that children, and we, are using to keep in touch and socialise online. This Zoom Webinar is exclusively for parents to help them understand their children’s online world right now.

Note: This is a Zoom Webinar, I have set all the security to the MOST secure settings for this presentation. Only Authenticated registrants can join, It is password protected, requires a small donation to join, and will allow no other screen sharing, recording or private chat between registrants. I will also NOT record any chat/Questions. I’ve locked it all down as best as I can to ensure there are no mishaps, short of me losing internet! (hopes that doesn’t happen…)

This webinar has limited registrations so sign up early.

I’ve been getting a huge amount of questions from parents about Zoom, Houseparty, Minecraft, FaceTime Skype and more. I’ll address all of these in this upcoming webinar. The webinar will start promptly at 8pm but you can log early before to ensure we start exactly on time. There will be 15mins for Q&A Live after the presentation.

A donation of only $10.00 is required for this webinar. As all my work has been postponed or cancelled, it will certainly help my business to continue. But I will also throw in a free (normally $15.00) copy of my step by step Cyber Safety eBook “Keeping Kids Safe Online” with every registration done before the webinar. A coupon code and link to the eBook store will be sent out via the receipt email after the registration donation is paid through Paypal.

This webinar will also be available on demand after the live presentation to pre-registered attendees.

It includes advice on:

  • Video chat apps like Zoom, Houseparty, Skype, FaceTime etc…
  • The latest apps and games children are using to stay social
  • Parental Controls for chat apps and games
  • Communication tips around digital devices
  • Screentime tips and much much more
  • Register early to download the Zoom Software.

Windows 10 & Spying On Your Kids

Windows 10 & Spying On Your Kids

There are reports from some parents that the latest operating system from Microsoft, Windows 10, is now automatically sending parents a detailed report of their children’s computer activity when parents add their child to a Microsoft Family account. Parents may have previously set up Windows 8 on their child’s computer and added that child’s Microsoft account to a… Continue Reading

How To Tell If Your Child Has Deleted Their Browser History?

How To Tell If Your Child Has Deleted Their Browser History?

I was asked this question today during an interview on Radio 2UE. It’s becoming harder and harder to tell if your child is deleting their browser history, to hide their online behaviour from parents. Apple’s Safari and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer only has history delete in bulk, or by date and time, but the Chrome browser… Continue Reading

How To Make Mobile Safari Safe For Kids

How To Make Mobile Safari Safe For Kids

I’ve been hearing a few stories lately of parents holding off allowing their children access to any internet enabled devices like smart phones and mobile devices such as tablets and iPods until they are over 10 years old. It doesn’t surprise me at all, the likelihood of a child under 10 years old being exposed… Continue Reading
